Colin Ward’s Everyday Anarchy

In the genealogy of contemporary anarchist writers, Colin Ward is the grandfather. His writing has been recognized world-wide not just because of the ideas he presented but also the simplicity with which he has been able to express his ideas. Shantz, like Ward’s major biographer David Goodway, appropriately directs the reader to Ward’s insistence that even the most complex of anarchist issues can be expressed in everyday terms. More than that, they must be expressed in everyday language if anarchism is to develop as a coherent and persuasive theory.
